In the year 6980... your servant... monk... From an unbearable suffering by His grace...
Commentary
Mogarichev (1997, 87, fig. 344-45) was the first to mention the inscription in print.
The script is similar to that of V 204.
1. On the date appearing at the start of the inscription, compare V 174.
10-12. It is clear that the text contained a plea to God, but the overall character of this inscription is uncertain.
This inscription is yet another piece of evidence for the existence of a monastery at Tepe-Kermen (see commentary to V 204).
