Translation
Fell asleep: a servant of God, Agathe, son of Palkos(?), in the year 6925.
Commentary
Latyshev's first edition was based on the transcription made by Yu.A. Kulakovsky, and the second on the transcription made by A.L. Bertye-Delagard. A somewhat unusual placement of the epitaph on the wall of the apse where we normally find dedications or invocations, has a parallel in V 206.

3. Interchange of theta and tau in the word ἀγαθός is attested in Christian epigraphy in Lefebvre 1907, № 664 (Nubia, after 644 C.E.).
4. A similar mistake with the gender of the deceased is found in V 130 (1361-1362 C.E.) and Beševliev 1964, № 213 (XII–XIVth century): Ἐπιφανίου θυγατρός.

Commentary
The name Jason (here spelled Giason) is attested in Christian inscriptions three times: IK Iasos 284; Agnello 1953, № 60; ICUR 24276; on the spelling Για- instead of Ἰα — see SEG 2.883.
