Commentary

In the 1990s, the monument was in the care of the Crimean Branch of the Institute of Archaeology, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. After the transfer of the epigraphic collection to the Central Museum of Tavrida it has not been possible to locate the monument.

In terms of the material and the script, the monument resembles the tombstone of Theodore and Tzalbanda, also from Bakla (V 115).

1. On the formula, see Introduction IV.3.E.a.
