III 227. Chersonesos. Epitaph of Bakos, 2nd half of IV century B.C.Е.
H. 205.0, W. 37.0, Th. 19.0.
Stele adorned with a moulded cornice, in five fragments. On the top, a dowel hole for the attachment of an anthemium. The inscription is cut in thin strokes, following ruled lines, traced in black paint. Below the inscription is a poorly preserved relief image of a sword, strigil, and aryballos, with polychrome colouring. The back is well worked.

Southeast sector of Chersonesos, fortification walls, Tower XVII ("Zeno's Tower"), masonry.
Found in 1960 and 1961, excavations of S.F. Strzheletsky (НА НЗХТ, д. 30).

Kappa with short diagonals, four-bar sigma with splayed bars, absence of decorative elements at the ends of letterstrokes.
