Apparatus criticus

Translation

 

Commentary

The sharp angle turned left, with parallel lines that cut lenthwise across it, could be the prow or bow of a ship. Similar depiction is found on the graffito drawing on a stone wall from the sanctuary of Hera on Samos (Inv. Her. S I 80): IG XII.6,2 576 (ph. Pl.IV), dated to the second half of VI cent BCE.
