Translation

Makarios. Ionas.

Commentary

The inscription, whose photo is included in the report of Voronin, was kindly pointed out to me by S.V. Kharitonov.

The name Makarios is not attested elsewhere in Crimea; for Ionas (here Yonas), cf. V 69. It is possible that the names belonged to monks. The second was written later, in smaller letters.
